It is hard to get around the fact that history and humanity, at times, can be gruesome. The way we view events today differs from how they would have been seen at the time. For many, violence was a way of life. Battles were brutal and childhoods short.
If you are a reader who is triggered by certain things, please find below a list which may help you navigate my books, as I would not wish to cause you undue distress when reading my works. Please bear in mind that I write for an adult audience, and although none of the Naturae Series includes scenes of a ‘spicy’ sexual nature, there may be other situations where the characters are party to situations or circumstances which may offend.
Where I have included scenes of a graphic, violent or known triggering way, please understand that they are necessary to the plot, not gratuitous, and in no way do I endorse the use of violence. Where possible I strive for historical accuracy in my description. I have not listed out where there deaths or fight sequences (unless they could be triggering) as in general, I think these could be considered par for the course in a historical fantasy novel.
